Overall purpose of the role:
SAZ MEDIA is a commercially successful film and photography Social Enterprise that reinvests 100% of its profits into supporting young people and the wider community to learn digital and social skills through themed workshops that explore people, place and planet. We create films that span across many sectors such as construction and housing, environment and health, charity and community.
We are looking for a Videographer and Editor that will work on both our social and commercial film content.
We need a candidate who enjoys working independently and as part of a small and fast-paced team, with an eye for telling engaging stories that are inspiring, memorable, provide call to action and make a positive difference to people, place and planet.
This is a role that provides learning, guidance and growth. In return we need someone that is excited by digital technology and editing as a career path. They will be eager to learn, open to critique and find persevering through challenge enjoyable.
The role will require the candidate to support on wider communications and advocacy for SAZ MEDIA, including contributing to email and web activities and creating content for social media platforms.
This role requires travel around the UK. The applicant must be willing to regularly travel and stay overnight at various locations across the UK. Travel and accommodation is paid for by SAZ MEDIA. A full clean UK driving license would be desirable.
Main day-to-day responsibilities:
To capture events, interviews and live action/ documentary through video. To edit those video rushes into compelling stories that inspire, educate and have a call to action.
Design and create engaging multimedia content, including videos, graphics and audio, for use across multiple channels i.e social media, online and marketing purposes.
To keep up to date with camera and video editing trends.
To download, upload, categorise and safely manage and store data on and offline.
Manage client queries via email, phone or online meetings and ensure timely delivery of content by planning and managing your time effectively.
To source media (video, graphics, audio, music etc) to use in editing from our platforms or data bank.
Use Adobe Creative Suite, Davinci and other online editing systems to create content.
Collaborate with other team members and clients to ensure the content is engaging, on-brand, and aligned with campaign goals.
Create and collate feedback forms to clients to continuously improve our work.
To support with scheduling and coordination of projects.
Be responsible for personal administrative tasks.
You will contribute to our newsletter and social media posts, (Instagram, Youtube and LinkedIn).
You may represent the organisation at external meetings, seminars and conferences as appropriate and liaise with a range of partners to support you in your developing role and the delivery of projects.

Essential (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)
You will have experience of being a self shooting, Director and Editor and have a demonstrable show reel.
You will be able to navigate an edit suite i.e Premier Pro or Davinci.
Enjoy being creative and trying new things.
Operate Cameras, (desirable Sony FX range)
Ability to prioritise work and meet targets without losing necessary attention to detail and remaining calm under pressure.
Skilled in I.T (email, Google Drive, Adobe Creative Suite or similar) - able to keep records and store data inline with our needs and policy.
Organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects.
A strong commitment to accountability.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate in a confident and engaging manner, both written and orally.
A team player. Able to support other team members with tasks, sharing skills and imparting knowledge for the learning and individuals and growth of the company.
