FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

I was driven to create SAZ MEDIA as a result of my own lived experiences as a young person. Coming into adulthood and doing participatory work with young people I realised that many challenges and disadvantages were still present. I wanted to create an organisation that benefited young people, that raised their aspirations, gave them a voice and increased their skills and experiences.

With over a decade of experience in photography, filmmaking and communications — including work for charities, corporate clients, and community projects — my passion for social impact, quality media content and creativity, has led the organisation to national reach while maintaining deep roots in local communities .

In April 2025 I was awarded “Young Leader of the Year” by the North West Leadership Awards  and under my guidance SAZ MEDIA has earned accreditation with the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter and the Living Wage Foundation.

My vision for SAZ MEDIA is clear — to sustainably grow a creative, social enterprise that delivers professional media services while unlocking opportunities for disadvantaged young people, amplifying their voices through skill-building and storytelling.

CREATIVE LEAD

Hi my name is Jake, I am the Creative Lead at SAZ MEDIA.

I am extremely happy to have started working at SAZ MEDIA, they have given me the opportunity to gain the hands on experience in the media production industry that I needed, there is also the added bonus of everyone being friendly, helpful and patient with me.

My journey to get to this point started in college when I picked film production as a subject on a whim, and I instantly fell in love with the full process that goes into producing content. This drove me to get to university and in turn get me to the point I am now, starting a career at SAZ MEDIA.

In my free time I enjoy traveling to new places with my dog and camera so I can practice and improve my photography, whilst also getting much needed exercise. In my down time I also enjoy playing video games and watching films.

CREATIVE IMPACT FACILITATOR

Hi, I’m Jordan. I am Creative Impact Facilitator here at SAZ MEDIA!
The path that lead me to this role has been shaped by my love for photography. Its been a passion of mine for years, but I always knew I wanted to be in a role where I could make a difference in people’s lives and support communities. That’s why I studied a degree in Health & Social Care, with a focus on the mental health needs of children and young adults. For six years, I spent my summers working as a photographer at children’s camps across the U.S.

During this time I saw firsthand how important creative outlets can be for young people and how they help build connections. Now, in my role, I get to create workshops where people can express themselves, learn new skills, improve their mental health and wellbeing, and connect with others. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of such meaningful work!

JUNIOR VIDEO EDITOR

Hey there, I'm Marvellous Meggison, a video editor at SAZ MEDIA.

Before joining this incredible team, I've always had a passion for photography, filmmaking, and editing. This passion began in my childhood and evolved into a professional pursuit since 2018. My journey has allowed me to capture everything from events to properties and sports.

At SAZ MEDIA, my role feels even more profound. Here, I get to use my skills to help organisations and communities convey messages that align with our commitment to creating social change and making the world a better place.

Working here is truly a joy. I'm surrounded by wonderful human beings and creative individuals who are always willing to share knowledge and help you grow in every aspect of media.

VIDEOGRAPHER & EDITOR

Hi, I’m Ryan, a videographer at SAZ Media with a passion for storytelling through film. Growing up in Hong Kong, I was hooked on movies and dreamed of creating my own. This led me to study Film and Media Communication at Hong Kong Baptist University, building my skills in visual storytelling. Before SAZ Media, I worked as a TV director at a leading Hong Kong broadcast company, mastering high-pressure production and narrative crafting. Inspired by The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’s motto — “To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life.” — I moved to the UK to chase new creative challenges.

At SAZ Media, I blend my experience with innovation, producing cinematic visuals for commercials and storytelling projects. I thrive in this supportive environment, constantly refining my craft.

In my free time, I travel with my camera, capturing life’s moments and drawing inspiration from films.

VOLUNTEER

Hello, my name is Courtney. I am currently volunteering with SAZ MEDIA, where I support young people and assist the team with any background tasks as needed.

I am passionate about helping others and contributing to a positive environment for young people. My role allows me to provide support while also gaining valuable experience in teamwork and community engagement.

In my free time, I enjoy photography and going for walks, as they allow me to explore new places and capture meaningful moments.
